Organic Leave-in Conditioner
Here is why I don’t use conventional conditioners. They are made of carrying agents, emulsifiers, emollients, humectants, proteins, fragrances, and preservatives.
🔬 Emollients: Toxic emollients are silicones such as dimethicone. They coats hair and they are polluting since they do not biodegrade. They used them because they keep the hair moisturized.
🔬 Humectants: Irritating humectants are butylene glycol, propylene glycol, and ethylene glycol. Used because they give a more full look to the hair.
🔬 Fragrance is added to mask the toxic smell of conventional shampoo. These unnatural fragrances are strong and can create allergic reactions, dermatitis, respiratory distress, and potential effects on the reproductive system. Choose only shampoos with essential oils.
Preservatives such as Parabens, Dioxane, and Benzyl Alcohol are toxic and they are the worse preservatives.
I also avoid potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate. These are considered better preservatives but they can still create skin reactions.
Proteins repair and strengthen the hair. Natural proteins are rice or quinoa proteins.

I don't recommend this leave-in product since it has controversial ingredints.
Ethylhexylglycerin: Classified as an irritant, this substance causes serious eye damage. Severe eye damage was observed in animal testing. Liver effects observed at low doses in repeat-dose studies in rats. This substance is harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
