Some rooms are more prone to mold and mildew than others. Bathrooms rarely get a chance to dry out completely and it can host the ideal environment to grow mold. Keep it as dry as possible.
Mold tends to burrow as it grows, usually behind surfaces. Mildew, instead tends to stay on one surface and spread out. Mold looks different from mildew: Mold looks more slimy and fuzzy, and Mildew looks more powdery. Mildew can cause allergic responses, and mold can cause long-term damage to the nervous system and respiratory airways.
Environmental Mold is an antigen and is the root cause of many allergic and inflammatory health symptoms. It enters the body and can begin to colonize through two main avenues:

The Nose: Mold spores are present in the air and can be inhaled. The average person breathes in 2,904 gallons/day of air. In a healthy environment with normal levels of mold, your body can maintain a general defense, filtering mold and other pathogens. But, when mold levels are elevated, your body’s defense capabilities are challenged. Mold can enter the body, reaching the sinuses, a perfect, dark, moist, warm, breeding ground!

The Mouth and Digestive System: Fungus and bacteria are naturally occurring organisms in the digestive tract, but problems arise when exposure, dietary sugar consumption, or a compromised immune system prevent the body from keeping fungal levels in check. Yeast and other pathogens can then take hold causing gastrointestinal issues, infections, and disease.
Mold tests: visual inspection, an air test, or a swab test of the dust in the room. An air test takes a few minutes and it is performed by a professional. The lab will then analyze the spores and determine if the count is high or low depending on how many mold spores they find. analyze the type of mold spores that make up the total count.
Conventional Mold Removers
❌Avoid conventional mold and mildew removers are made with Triclosan, Benzalkonium Chloride, Quats, Parabens, Synthetic Fragrances, Glycols, Chlorine, Formaldehyde Carriers, Petrochemicals, or Most Common Allergens.
Many cleaning wipes are made with toxic ingredients and materials that harm us and the environment.
Greenwashing Mold Removers
Greenwashing is when a brand pretends to be organic, eco-friendly, natural, or safe when it is not. They use misleading greenwashing techniques to convince you to buy their products!
They will use misleading marketing tactics and claims to convince you to buy their products!
There are many greenwashing brands claiming to be natural and effective. I don't recommend these brands:

Natural Mold Removers

After a shower, open windows, and shower doors, and hang up towels and rugs, for quickly dry. and wipe down to speed up to drying process. Here are other tips:

Bath Fan Installation: Pick a stronger fan to pull out more moisture from the air. It has to push air outside of your home. Keep the fan on for 20 minutes after a shower.

In Floor Heat: Floor heat will reduce condensation caused by the cooler temperature of the bathroom combined with the moisture of the shower. It will reduce the humidity levels in the bathroom.

Demistable mirror: The mirror is heated to prevent any sort of condensation or build-up of steam. Preventing overall moisture in the bathroom.

Drying plants: Peace Lily, Boston Fern, Chinese Evergreen and Plalms are great for absorbing extra moisture in the hair. Don't water them much. Let them absorb the moisture.

Air Purifier with cool and heat: I use my air purifier all the time in my bathroom. It not only keeps the environment dryer and warmer or cooler depending on the season, but it will also absorb any toxic elements in the area including mold. Check my favorite here.

Squeegee: After the shower use a squeegee to remove excess moisture from the walls, and mirrors to prevent mold and mild one in the bathroom.

Organic White Vinegar Distilled
🍃To clean the refrigerator. I noticed that when handymen are preparing to recaulk the shower, they use white vinegar to remove mold or other contaminants commonly found in humid bathroom spots.
🌿Organic white vinegar is very handy to have around, not just for mold, but to clean the refrigerator and freezer, microwave, as a rinse aid in the dishwasher, and to self-clean, the dishwasher or washer machine as it is able to remove the build-up. I usually keep in a spray bottle.
🌱 I also used white vinegar as an ant repellent, and it works!
Microwave cleaning: Measure about 2 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of vinegar into a microwave-safe measuring cup or bowl. Place the bowl in the microwave. Microwave on high power for 5 minutes so the liquid comes to a boil. Let stand for 2 to 3 minutes. Open the door and carefully remove the measuring cup or bowl, wipe it and that's it.
