What is seborrheic dermatitis?
Seborrheic Dermatitis and Dandruff can be caused by a condition called yeast or seborrheic dermatitis from a fungus. The more conventional way is to treat products such as ketoconazole shampoo.
The Malassezia yeast is simply one of many "triggers" that cause some people's bodies to overreact - in the form of inflammation. For some, this inflammation presents itself as Seborrheic Dermatitis.
According to Wikipedia: The Malassezia yeast is believed to play a role. Seborrhoeic dermatitis-like eruptions are also associated with vitamin B6 deficiency. My naturopath recommends taking B6 with the superior form P5P not higher than 50 mg a day.
Besides reinforcing the body with Vitamin B6 and zinc, an important factor is to lower the Ph of your skin with shampoo and other products that are more acid than our skin Ph.

Eliminating inflammatory food: Seborrheic Dermatitis trigger- food usually are dairy and wheat (gluten). Try eliminating these two foods from your diet for 3-4 weeks.

A shower filter: chlorine is a strong chemical that can increase Seborrheic Dermatitis by drying out your skin. A water softening system: it is recommended if your tap water is hard.
