Crunchi Review

Many of you asked me what I think about Crinchi products.

Crunchi has been promoted as a clean brand, a better replacement for conventional skincare. Is really that clean?

Crunchi versus Conventional Brands

Conventional brands: Mostly they sell conventional products made with cheap and controversial ingredients such as toxic preservatives and fragrances. Usually featured as big names!

While is heavily promoted and recommended by many "green beauty influencers", Crunchi is considered better than let's say the conventional brands you can find at Macy's, Bloomingdale, Ulta, or Sephora.  Better than Dior, Estee Lauder, etc,  or celebrity skincare or makeup.

The only celebrity brand I recommend and approve of is Miranda Kerr's brand: Kora Organics

Crunchi versus Organic Brands

Compared to other truly natural brands, it is not the best  I would classify Crunchi under the greenwashing category. If you don’t know what greenwashing means, you can learn more here.

I don't recommend Crunchi:

What is a greenwashing brand?

When the brand wants you to think their products are natural when instead they are hiding dirty, toxic, and polluting ingredients!  They are misleading consumers using their marketing tactics with deceiving claims and images and packaging that evokes eco-friendliness: for example green packing.

You can learn more about GREENWASHING here

Large corporations are bombarding us with their tricky marketing schemes using expensive celebrity faces and hiding their conventional (and toxic) products in deceptive packaging, claiming such nonsense as “clean” “pure” “natural” “fresh” high quality” “green” blah blah blah…

Example: That means it is not enough to have a product claiming to be fragrance-free when the rest is toxic or to have only one organic ingredient in something and the rest is garbage.

Here is my response to them: I am not buying your lies and I am going to support small, honest companies that make safer products because they have a passion and they don’t have to pay high salaries to their corporate managers, so they can focus on quality over cheap and quantity.

We need to pay attention to the labels, not on the front, but on the back, where the ingredients are usually listed. We need to judge a brand by its commitment to eco-friendly packaging and the transparency of its products starting with its ingredient list!

Crunchi uses controversial and irritant ingredients such as:

Ethylhexylglycerin: Classified as an irritant, Harmonized classification: this substance causes serious eye damage, Severe eye damage observed in animal testing.

Here below you can find the Crunchi products I analyzed:

Greenwashing Brands

⚠️Greenwashing brands make false claims. They pretend to be eco-friendly when they are not.
I consider greenwashing companies the worst category: they are there to mislead you and then take your money by selling you lies!
👉It is important to recognize them and their misleading tactics, so we can actually focus our attention and devote our wallets to more deserving companies!
👉The more we educate ourselves, the more resources we actually have to correctly redirect our spending power and to shape the market demand for better, safer products, and more honest brands!
💚On my blog, I explain how big name brands will play on peoples’ desire to live cleaner to sell them toxic products under the impression that are eco-friendly and clean!
💁‍♀️I am here to teach you how to spot them and send them home!

GREENWASHING BRANDS MAKE FALSE CLAIMS. THEY PRETEND TO BE ECO-FRIENDLY WHEN THEY ARE NOT!

I CONSIDER GREENWASHING COMPANIES THE WORSE CATEGORY!!

THEY ARE THERE TO MISLEAD YOU AND THEN TAKE YOUR MONEY BY SELLING YOU LIES!!!

And you that are shopping and searching for organic, are their target!

I am teaching you how not to get stuck in their web and instead be the winner in this fight.

Take my course on how to spot greenwashing brands!

I consider the Greenwashing Companies even worse than Toxic Brands:

While Toxic Companies are a health hazard AND an environmental danger, the Greenwashing Companies are also lying to us with their deceiving claims, putting them in the worse category!

At the bottom of this page, you will find greenwashing companies and who is behind them.

❌ Crunchi: not recommended!

I don't recommend Crunchi products! GREENWASHING

INGREDIENTS: Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice*, Glycerin*, Montmorillonite (Mineral Water), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil*, Propanediol, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Laminaria Digitata Extract, Polyglyceryl-2 Oleate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate, Chondrus Crispus Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil*, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Organic Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Peel Oil*, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai Berry) Pulp Powder*, Lycium Chinense (Goji) Fruit*, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Leaf*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Powder*, Phenethyl alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin

I don't recommend it because of these ingredients:

Propanediol: Classified as a skin irritant

Chondrus Crispus Extract: this is carrageenan, I personally avoid it.

Organic Citrus Sinensis (Sweet Orange) Peel Oil*: Known human dermal toxicant or allergen, Human [[system]] toxicant or allergen - strong evidence.

Ethylhexylglycerin: Classified as an irritant, Harmonized classification: this substance causes serious eye damage, Severe eye damage observed in animal testing.

Conclusion:

Sure, they use also some nice organic ingredients, but they mix them with controversial ones.  A very long list of unnecessary, irritants, and ingredients.

❌CRUNCHI: Not recommended

That’s why I don’t use or recommend this CRUNCHI
Even if it is highly promoted by many influencers it never convinced me. Even though it is marked as clean beauty some of its ingredients are controversial:
🔎Foundation:
Triethoxycaprylylsilane
A toxic, carcinogenic substance that can damage the immune system, kill cells, and produce silicosis. It can also be a penetration enhancer, delivering other toxic ingredients into the skin.
Dimethicone: a synthetic ingredient that dries out the skin, is hard to wash off, clogged pores, and acne.
🔎Day light:
Ethylhexylglycerin: it is not safe due to its performance as a contact allergen. People with sensitive skin and an existing skin condition are more likely to be impacted.
🔎Lip crayon
Manganese Violet (Cl 77742):
Synthetic colorant
Suspected to be an environmental toxin and be persistent or bioaccumulative.

Early symptoms of chronic manganese poisoning include languor, sleepiness, and weakness in the legs.
Mica: mica mining exposes child labor in the makeup industry

With all this, I recommend you better brands listed on my website!

❌CRUNCHI: Not recommended

I don t recommend CRUNCHI Translucent Finishing Powder because it has a toxic ingredient: Silica (Amorphous)

Considered toxic: The major problem in the assessment of health effects of amorphous silica is its contamination with crystalline silica. Occupational exposure to crystalline silica dust is associated with an increased risk for pulmonary diseases such as silicosis, tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and lung cancer.

My recommendation is to use instead the only and the first  USDA Certified Organic face powder on the market by Olga's Organics. you can learn more here. Here is my promo code: PRETTYORGANICGIRL
